A native of Toledo, Ohio, Mitchell Wiley grew up immersed in the arts, and it couldn’t be more evident. Soon to be receiving his BFA in Musical Theatre, Mitchell will be showcasing his talents in Rider University’s Senior Showcase at Open Jar Studios on May 7th. If interested in attending, please reach out via email.

Throughout his time in collegiate theatre, Mitchell has been involved in a number of shows. These include Kiss Me Kate (dir. T. Oliver Reid), Much Ado About Nothing (dir. Ivan Fuller), Anything Goes (dir. Robin Lewis), and then closing out his senior year with Nice Work If You Can Get It (dir. Robin Lewis). Throughout all, he has gotten the chance to showcase his unique talents, such as whistling and tumbling. Having roles that focus on one skill have vastly improved his overall performance abilities, and given him the chance to hone his craft. This summer, he will be performing at Tibbits Opera house, playing Jerry Lee Lewis in Million Dollar Quartet, and Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

Besides performing, Mitchell expresses his artistic side through many mediums on and off the stage. Mitchell can be found playing piano recreationally as well in the orchestra pit for musicals, and also enjoys playwriting.
